Its vivid blue, star-shaped flowers and soft, hairy leaves are both edible and beautiful in salads, drinks, and desserts. A favourite with bees, borage readily self-seeds and is a valuable companion plant in any productive garden.>Calendula – Improved Orange:>Calendula ‘Improved Orange’ produces vibrant, golden-orange blooms with edible petals that have a mild, slightly peppery flavour. Often used in salads, rice dishes, and herbal preparations, calendula is also valued for its soothing properties. Tough, reliable, and pollinator-friendly, it’s a true all-rounder for the home garden.>Cornflower – Centaurea Double Ball Mix:>This double-flowered cornflower mix produces striking, pom-pom-style blooms in rich blues and complementary shades. With a mild, slightly sweet flavour, the petals are ideal for decorating desserts, salads, and drinks. Easy to grow and highly attractive to pollinators, they’re a standout in cottage and cut-flower gardens.>Dianthus – Chinensis Dwarf Double:>This compact dianthus variety produces masses of ruffled, double blooms in bright, cheerful colours. The lightly clove-scented petals are edible and commonly used to decorate cakes and desserts. Ideal for borders and containers, these low-growing plants flower prolifically and thrive in cooler conditions.>Lavender – Vera:>Lavender ‘Vera’ is a classic culinary and medicinal lavender, prized for its fragrant purple flowers and silvery foliage. Use sparingly to flavour desserts, teas, syrups, and baked goods. Drought-tolerant once established, this perennial herb attracts pollinators and brings both beauty and calm to the garden.>Nasturtium – Single Trailing Mix:>Trailing nasturtiums deliver the same bold, peppery flavour as bush types, with the added bonus of cascading growth perfect for hanging baskets and raised beds. Both the leaves and vibrant flowers are edible, adding colour and spice to salads and savoury dishes. Fast-growing and low-maintenance, they’re also excellent at attracting pollinators and beneficial insects.>Viola – Johnny Jump Up:>Johnny Jump Up violas are charming, small-flowered plants with cheerful purple, yellow, and white blooms. Their mildly sweet flavour makes them ideal for decorating cakes, salads, and drinks. Cool-season hardy and easy to grow, violas flower generously and add colour to garden beds, pots, and borders.>Zinnia – Formula Mix:>Zinnia ‘Formula Mix’ offers a vibrant blend of large, bold flowers in a wide range of colours. While not strongly flavoured, the petals are edible and make excellent garnishes for salads and desserts. Fast-growing and heat-tolerant, zinnias are loved by pollinators and perfect for brightening summer gardens.

FAQs

How long will these seeds last?

Seed germination rates naturally decline over time.>For best results, we recommend planting within 2 years of purchase.>When stored long-term in a cool, dry place, many varieties can still germinate 10 years or more — just at much lower rates. Even a handful of successful plants is often enough to grow on, harvest seed, and keep your seed supply going.

How should I store these seeds?

Moisture, heat, and sunlight are the main factors that reduce the lifespan of stored seeds.>All of our kits are sealed and include moisture absorbers, along with storage instructions.>For short-term storage (1–2 years), a dark, dry, cool cupboard is usually sufficient.>For longer-term storage (3–10+ years), we recommend keeping your sealed kit (do not open) in the fridge crisper to slow seed ageing, noting that germination rates will gradually decline over time.

Where are you guys located?

We’re based in Toowoomba, Queensland.>All of our products — including our handmade seed kits — are packed and shipped directly from our home-based, family-run business.

What are heirloom seeds?

Heirloom seeds are traditional, open-pollinated varieties that have been passed down through generations.>They grow true to type, preserving the characteristics of the parent plant.>Heirloom seeds are known for their flavour, colour, diversity, and resilience, and they are always non-GMO.>Because they can be saved and replanted year after year, heirloom seeds play an important role in preserving genetic diversity and supporting a resilient food system.

Can I save seeds from my harvest to replant next season?

Yes. Because our seeds are open-pollinated heirloom varieties, you can save seeds from your harvest and replant them in future seasons.>This makes it easy to build a more self-sufficient and sustainable garden over time.

What is your return policy?

We’re a small, family-run business and we stand behind the quality of our products.>If you’re not completely happy for any reason, we offer a 90-day, no-questions-asked money-back or replacement guarantee.>Just get in touch and we’ll make it right — no hassle and no judgment.
