Our Edible Flower Seeds Selection:
Borage: Borage's cucumber-like taste complements beverages, salads, and desserts. This bee-friendly herb boasts vibrant blue, star-shaped flowers and hairy leaves. It self-seeds and attracts pollinators, making it a beneficial addition to any garden.
Cornflower: Cornflowers, also known as bachelor's buttons, have a mild, slightly sweet taste. Use their bright blue petals to adorn desserts or infuse beverages. These easy-to-grow plants feature slender stems and attractive, fringed blooms, making them a favourite in cottage gardens.
Forget-me-not: Forget-me-nots are delicate, blue, white and pink flowers often used as edible decorations. They add a charming touch to cakes, pastries, and salads. Their mild, slightly sweet flavour compliments both sweet and savoury dishes. Besides culinary uses, forget-me-nots symbolise remembrance and are popular in gardens for their beauty and sentimental value.
Marigold: Marigolds are a vibrant addition to any garden and plate! Their petals have a slightly citrusy, tangy flavour, perfect for salads, rice dishes, or as a colourful garnish. Easy to grow and care for, marigolds add beauty and edible flair, making them a versatile choice for home gardeners.
Nasturtium: Nasturtiums offer a peppery flavour, perfect for garnishing salads and adding spice to dishes. These low-maintenance plants have vibrant, edible blooms and round, shield-shaped leaves. They attract beneficial insects and make stunning hanging baskets.
Pansy: Pansies have a delicate, grassy flavour, making them ideal for decorating cakes and salads. Their beautiful, multi-coloured faces bloom in cooler seasons, brightening up landscapes and containers with cheerful hues.
Sunflower: Sunflowers are not just beautiful; they're edible too! Their vibrant petals make a stunning garnish, while the seeds are a tasty, nutrient-packed snack. Sunflower buds can even be steamed like artichokes. Easy to grow, sunflowers bring cheerful colour to your garden and delightful, versatile uses to your plate.
Viola: Violas, also known as Johnny-Jump-Ups, boast a slightly sweet flavour and colourful blooms. Use them to decorate cakes, salads, or drinks. These compact plants feature heart-shaped leaves and abundant, cheery blossoms throughout the growing season.

FAQ's
How long will these seeds last?
Seed germination rates decline over time.
For best results, plant within 2 years of purchase.
Some varieties last much longer, so older seeds can still be plantedβjust expect lower germination.
Each Survival Seed Kit is airtight and includes a moisture absorber to extend shelf life.
How should I store these seeds?
While it's what makes them grow in the garden, moisture, heat and sunlight are the main factors that reduce the lifespan of stored seeds.
Each of our kits are sealed and include moisture absorbers, as well as storage instructions.
To minimise loss in quality, store kits sealed in a dark, dry, cool location. A cupboard is normally sufficient short-term (1 β 2 years). For longer periods (2 β 5+ years), we recommend you store our kits in your fridge crisper.
Where are Survival Seeds located?
Weβre based in Toowoomba, Queensland, where every product is carefully handmade and shipped directly from our home business.
What are heirloom seeds?
Heirloom seeds are traditional, non-hybrid seeds passed down through generations. These seeds are open-pollinated, meaning they naturally produce plants true to type, preserving the traits of the parent plant.
Heirlooms are celebrated for their unique flavours, vibrant colours, diverse shapes, and higher nutritional content compared to modern hybrids. They are also non-GMO, making them ideal for sustainable gardening.
A key benefit of heirloom seeds is their ability to be saved and replanted year after year, unlike many hybrid seeds. This makes them vital for ensuring the security of our global food supply. By growing and harvesting heirloom seeds, growers help preserve genetic diversity, protect agricultural heritage, and support a resilient food system for future generations.
Can I save seeds from my harvest to replant next season?
Yes, since our seeds are open-pollinated heirloom varieties, you can save seeds from your harvest to replant in future seasons, ensuring a self-sufficient and sustainable garden for generations.
