Australian Heirloom Seeds

Survival Seeds is a family-owned business based in SE QLD, born in 2020 during the Covid-19 lockdowns. Witnessing the critical role of seeds in times of crisis inspired us to share the value of self-sufficiency with others.

With the cost of living on the rise, many are turning to home gardening to save money and embrace healthier eating habits.

Each seed pack comes with easy planting and growing instructions, empowering you to take control of your food supply and enjoy the satisfaction of homegrown produce.

Whether you're preparing for an uncertain future or simply seeking the joys of fresh food and gardening, our seed kits are the perfect solution.

Grow Food & Seeds

  • Non GMO / Heirloom Seeds: More genetically diverse than GMO & Hybrids, which allows plants to slowly adapt to your growing conditions. We have an array of concerns with seeds being bred in a lab and support the long-term sustainability of home gardening and agriculture.
  • Planting + Growing Info: Loads of simple information on each seed packet means you can leave your phone inside and enjoy time in the garden without needing to search online for planting calendars, row spacing, seed depth, positioning, etc.
  • Harvest & Share Seeds: As big corporations flood the market with hybrid seeds, heirloom seeds are becoming harder to get. We encourage our growers to save and share seeds to maintain local control over our food system.

Storing Seeds & Prepping

  • Prepping: Our packs come sealed, include moisture absorbers and storage instructions. As we saw in 2020, seeds are a lifeline in a times of crisis, so we encourage seed saving, but we also encourage you to start the journey now and start prepping yourself to build your survival skill set. Start with what you have, keep it simple, and always harvest, save and share your seeds!
  • Storing Seeds: Each of our kits are sealed and include moisture absorbers as well as storage instructions. To minimise loss in quality, store kits sealed in a dark, dry, cool location. A cupboard is normally sufficient short-term (1 – 2 years). For longer periods (2 – 5+ years), we recommend you store our kits in your fridge crisper.

"These are fantastic! Mine arrived a couple of days ago and am absolutely rapt, way better than I imagined - thank you! And they're heirlooms so we can still get seeds from what we grow."
