FAQs

What are sprouting seeds?

Sprouting seeds are raw, untreated, heirloom seeds grown specifically to be grown and eaten as fresh sprouts.>They germinate fast and are safe to enjoy raw when rinsed and handled correctly.

Do I need special sprouting equipment?

All you really need is a wide-mouth jar and something breathable to cover it. Many people use cheesecloth, muslin, a clean tea towel or fine mesh held in place with a rubber band — all of which work just fine.>That said, we find stainless steel sprouting lids much easier to use day to day. They rinse clean, drain quickly and allow plenty of airflow, which helps sprouts stay fresh and reduces the risk of mould. If you want a purpose-made option, our stainless steel jar lids fit most 86 mm wide-mouth jars.>Or, for a complete setup, our Survival Sprouts Kit includes everything you need to get started with confidence.

How long will these seeds last?

Over time, germination rates naturally decline. For the best results, sprout your seeds within 12 months of purchase.>You can still use them long after this period—just expect a slightly lower germination rate.

How should I store these seeds?

Store your sprouting seeds in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep them sealed tightly in their original packaging or in a clean glass jar.>When stored properly, sprouting seeds remain fresh and highly viable for years thanks to their naturally long shelf life.

How long do sprouts take to grow?

Most sprouts are ready in 2–7 days, depending on the variety and growing conditions.>All of our sprouting seed products include clear, step-by-step instructions that show you exactly when and how to harvest for the best flavour and texture.

Where are you guys located?

We’re based in Toowoomba, Queensland.>All of our products — including our handmade seed kits — are packed and shipped directly from our home-based, family-run business.

We’re a small, family-run business and we stand behind the quality of our products.>If you’re not completely happy for any reason, we offer a 90-day, no-questions-asked money-back or replacement guarantee.>Just get in touch and we’ll make it right — no hassle and no judgment.
